The very first concert I performed in Dushanbe premiered a work by Elena Kats-Chernin in support of the United Nations Women’s Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence. Despite my nerves, I felt welcomed and embraced by the audience — it was a powerful introduction to performing in Tajikistan.” |
